A Brief History

The first clubhouse was the old boat club on riverside drive in 1913. Until bowlers finally built there own quarters at a cost of $300 entirely funded by the members. In 1958 there was corncern over the construction of highway 132(#3 back then). Clarence smiley was to look into this problem. 1963 was the last year for the club to be located on riverside drive and plans were made for the clubhouse to be located at the present site. Beside the curling club on Oak avenue the official opening was June 7th, 1964. On may 7th, 1977 the club was set ablaze during the city of St-Lamberts workers strike.
